Pricing

Solesca is licensed per seat, per year, on two licenses: Design and Engineering. Both carry unlimited projects and no system-size cap, so screening a site costs you time rather than budget. Terrain tracking attaches to any seat; plan sets are an add-on to the Engineering License. Work that sits outside the software runs on SOL Credits; purchased credits don't expire while your account is open. Talk to us for seat pricing.

Attaches to any Design or Engineering seat.

  • Sloped-terrain matched layouts
  • Auto pile height analysis
  • 3D Simulation

Organization add-on

Plan sets

Engineering License only

  • Site plan
  • Single-line diagram

SOL Credits

Bought à la carte as you need them. Purchased credits don't expire while your account is open.

  • 2D simulation
  • Capacity test
  • Design consult, per design

Common questions

Does Solesca stamp plan sets?

No. Solesca produces the stampable plan set and interconnection package; a licensed PE partner signs, at market rate through SOL Credits.

Do SOL Credits expire?

Purchased SOL Credits don't expire while your account is open, on either license. Granted or promotional credits expire on the date stated when they're granted, if any.

How close are production estimates to PVsyst?

Within 1%, validated on customer projects, with a PVsyst-ready model exported for the bankability review.

Does Solesca meter projects?

No. Both licenses carry unlimited projects, and there is no system-size ceiling on either one. That is the part of the model worth checking against whatever you use now, because it decides whether your team screens every site that comes in or rations the ones it looks at.

The practical effect is that the tenth look at a parcel costs the same as the first. Teams that pay per project learn to be careful about which projects they open, and that caution shows up later as bids that were never modeled.

Which license does my team need?

If your work ends when a customer has a credible number and a layout, the Design License covers it. If your work continues into AC equipment placement, DC stringing with wire losses and a bill of materials an engineer will order from, that is the Engineering License, and it is the license that can take the plan set add-on.

Most mixed teams buy both, seat by seat, rather than putting everyone on the higher one. The licenses are per seat, so a four-person engineering group does not have to buy the same thing for all four people.

What are the add-ons?

Two. Terrain tracking attaches to any seat, Design or Engineering, and places your racking on bare-earth elevation instead of a flat plane: pile heights, slope limits, single-axis trackers and fixed-tilt tables, simulated per frame in the same engine that built the layout.

Plan sets attach to the Engineering License only, and are licensed for the organization rather than per package. With it on, a seat produces the interconnection package from the engineering model: site plan, single-line diagram and equipment settings, as PDF and DXF. The Design License cannot add it, because the package is drawn from the AC equipment placement and DC stringing that only Engineering carries.

What are SOL Credits and when do you use them?

SOL Credits pay for work produced for you rather than done by you: an extra 2D simulation, a capacity test, time with our design and engineering team, or the electric stamp on a plan set, billed at market rate. They are bought as you need them and don't expire while your account is open, so an unused balance stays on the account.

Why are the prices not on this page?

Because the number on its own tells you very little. What a seat costs depends on how many people need which license, which add-ons they need and how much interconnection work you expect, and quoting a single figure would mean quoting the wrong one for most teams. The seat model itself is published at docs.solesca.com/billing. Ask us and you will get the figure in the first conversation.
